“What is Yoni Pichu?
Yoni Pichu is an Ayurvedic vaginal therapy that involves placing a cotton or gauze swab soaked in medicated oil or ghee inside the vaginal canal.
It is used for nourishing, lubricating, and healing the vaginal tissues, as well as balancing the Vata and Pitta doshas.
This therapy is particularly effective for gynecological issues, providing relief and promoting overall vaginal health.
Indications for Yoni Pichu :-
- Vaginal dryness, atrophy, and itching.
- Menstrual disorders like dysmenorrhea (painful periods) and menorrhagia (heavy bleeding).
- Infections, inflammation, and vaginal discharge (Leucorrhea).
- Infertility and other reproductive health issues.
- Postpartum care and rejuvenation of vaginal tissues.
Procedure of Yoni Pichu :-
- Preparation: The patient lies in a comfortable, relaxed position. A medicated oil or ghee, such as Yoni Taila or Kumari Taila, is warmed.
- Application: A cotton or gauze swab (Pichu) is soaked in the warm medicated oil and inserted gently into the vaginal canal.
- Duration: The Pichu is left in place for a while , allowing the medicinal properties to be absorbed by the vaginal tissues.
Post-Procedure Care :-
- Maintain Personal Hygiene: Keep the vaginal area clean and dry after the procedure.
- Avoid Sexual Intercourse: Refrain from sexual activity for at least 24 hours to allow complete absorption and healing.
- Use Warm Water for Washing: Clean the area gently with warm water; avoid harsh soaps or chemicals.
