What is Ksheer Dhara?
Ksheer Dhara, derived from “Ksheer” (milk) and “Dhara” (flow), is an Ayurvedic technique where a steady stream of warm, medicated milk is gently poured over the forehead or other specific body parts. Procedure :-
- Preparation of the patient with suitable environment
- Selection of herbs and prepartion of milk by warming
- The warm milk is then poured on the forehead or another body part
- After that a gentle massage is given to enhance the relaxation and absorption of milk’s therapeutic properties.
Post procedure care :-
- After the procedure it is best to stay warm and avoid cold exposure for some time
- Following the dietary advice given by the Dr. as per your condition
- Patients are advised to rest and avoid exertion for the remainder of the day
