Greeva Basti Is An Ayurvedic Therapy That Involves Retaining Warm,Medicated Oil In A Mold Placed Over The Neck For A Specific Duration.
This Soothing Treatment Aims To Alleviate Pain,Stiffness And Various Neck Related Issues.
Mode of action :-
Warm medicated oil nourishes and lubricates the cervical spine , reducing stiffness and pain, It enhances circulation and muscle relaxation and reduces inflammation and vata imbalance . It does the work of rejuvenation and deep tissue healing of the local area
Procedure :-
Preparation of the patient exposing the neck , then a dough ring is made to hold the warm medicated oil , creating a leak free boundary for the oil, after that warm medicated oil, specifically chosen based on patient’s condition, is poured within the dough ring to cover the neck area,. The oil is kept warm by replacing it periodically to sustain the warmth. The oil is retained for a specific time and then oil and the dough ring is removed after that a gentle massage around the neck area is performed to enhance relaxation and absorption .
